First Day of School and Driver Mike Pahl
My son Connor rides
Bus 170 to Cold Springs Elementary in the morning. I just
wanted to tell you how much he loves having Mike as a bus
driver. He is so good to the kids and really takes an interest
in them. They think he's great and in turn respect him and
listen to him. This morning instead of wanting me to take
him to school for the first day, he wanted to get on the
bus to see Mike. Thanks for having such a great employee.
It sure helps the kids start their day off right.

why your company is #1 in the industry, and we are very
happy that we chose you to provide this service for us.

Canadian Rockies tour
Everyone "loved" Dave Holcomb,
our Beach motorcoach driver! Dave is truly a most compatible
driver. In addition to being so easy to work with, he endears
himself to the tour members through his diligent driving,
road and site knowledge, as well as his personal concern
for each and every passenger. Dave was most amenable to
my suggestions and I to his. He was more than happy to make
stops for picture taking and viewing! We made a great team!
He kept the coach spotless. Again, a million thanks to Dave
for a job well done! Our Canadian Rockies Flyaway Tour would
not have been as successful without him! I look forward
to working with Dave again in the near future.

Upper Miller Creek school bus drivers
Hello: I live on the
west side of Rodeo Road, in the Upper Miller Creek area.
I write today to compliment the school bus drivers that
cover Rodeo Road, Trails' End and Upper Miller Creek, particularly
in the morning.
Every driver I have
encountered in my 3.5 years on the street has been unfailingly
courteous to other drivers, often pulling aside and waving
cars through once the riders are loaded. It is clear that
the safety of the kids is their primary concern, but allowing
other traffic to safely pass them is a close second. When
I first realized that my work schedule would put me on the
road at the same time as the bus most mornings, I felt some
concern; in other cities, getting behind a bus on rural
roads meant adding significant time to my commute. This
is not the case on Upper Miller Creek!
For the record, I am
NOT a parent. But I appreciate your drivers, and hope those
parents whose kids ride your buses do so, as well.
Regards,
Ellen Calnan

Dear Greg:
Please accept our sincere appreciation for your superlative
support of the 2006 Montana State Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM) Conference. In particular, Paul Bohan

extremely helpful and very flexible, which served us well,

National Parks Tour
Recently,
we took the Vantage America’s Magnificent National
Parks tour.
In
addition to a well-qualified tour manager, we had the pleasure
of an exceedingly pleasant, very knowledgeable and highly
professional driver, John Cornish. He was compassionate
(and) understanding....
He
was always cheerful and ready to assist in any way he could.
He earned the highest respect of the entire group. We certainly
hope he will be our driver in the future.
Vantage
is very fortunate to have a driver of his caliber.
Frank and Jenny Ritter

John
Cornish
John
was the driver on the national parks tour that we took with
Vantage earlier this month. What a treasure you have in
John! He was not only an experienced and very competent
driver, especially on winding mountain roads, but also the
"color man" on the tour. He showed us how yeast
could be found in the wild, and he provided a first-hand
account of fighting fires in Yellowstone. In addition, having
a conversation with John was always a treat, either at dinner
or while riding on the bus.... He added humor to the trip
and a contrast to the tour director's factual knowledge.
I
would give John the highest marks possible!

Hello,
We
recently took a tour of the National Parks managed by Vantage.
Joe Kost was our driver.... He was polite, helpful and cheery
all the time.
Sure
we had shoppers who had to be extracted from the stores,
and some ladies who always were last in the lines to the
restrooms, but somehow, all were gathered up and loaded
into the bus for the next leg of the journey. We had a full
busload, yet it was comfortable, and roomy. Joe did a great
job!
Thank
you,

Dear Mr. Beach
While horrified at the news of abuse
occurring during the busing of a boy with a disability
to a Milwaukee school, I was equally compelled to extend
an overdue thanks to staff at Missoulas Beach Transportation.
Our children have been regular customers
of theirs for many years. In particular, our son Michael,
who has autism, has utilized services aboard a special
transit bus. First to CO-TEACH, then Cold Springs, later
Chief Charlo, and now Meadow Hill, his limited communication
decidedly warrants caring oversight, to travel to and from
school safely.
During earlier days, when we counted
and cataloged each utterance in a day, he always had a hi and good-bye for
the bus staff, who greeted him warmly.
Just this past week, with Michael
soon to be a freshman at Sentinel, I was working in our
yard as his bus turned into the driveway. Glad as he was
to be home, he couldnt deboard without first exchanging high
fives with the driver and assistant. These positive
exchanges often set the tone for the day or evening ahead.
While many aspects of raising and
educating a child with a disability, in Missoula, continue
to be far from easy, school transit over these many years
has been consistently conscientious, reliableand
safe.
On a related note, having awakened
to a severe snow storm on a winters morning a couple
of years ago, I turned on the scanner to discern if the
buses would be running with regularity.
The radio exchanges that ensued shed
light on an artful orchestration of a fleet of buses inching
and sliding across our valley. Pick up kids wherever
you find them waiting. Well get them to their destinations,
just get them out of the cold, came the call across
the radio.
Safety was the order of the day, and
on this of all days, it was abundantly clear that care
and attention to both mechanics and staffing were no accident.

Dear Bob,
…I would like to thank your
sons, Scott and Greg for their professional approach and
incredible concern for our students…. They not only
represent Beach Transportation with a sense of professionalism,
they earmark pride for the Beach name…. I know that
you know of the remarkable people work for you. However,
every once in awhile, I believe it is good to be reminded
of just how blessed we are in life…. Thank you for
keeping Jo, Greg, Scott, and the rest of the Beach gang
a vital factor in the success of Loyola Sacred Heart.

Dear Bob,
Once again we conclude another successful
adventure. How can we express our gratitude for your terrific
care and concern for our students? There's no doubt that
the professionalism you and your crew demonstrated on this
tour helped make the event such a triumph.
Randy, Mike, Pat, Steve, Harold, Joe
and Bob were at all times the epitome of selfless service
and skill. I'm sure that Erik and Ossie from Rimrock Transportation
observed a thing or two about how to do things right. They
did a great job and became part of the family by the end
of the trip. We appreciate the extra time and trouble you
went through in order to secure their bus for this trip.
Cara and her mom had a great time.
I discussed our travel arrangements
with several directors at the event and was again reminded
how our unique our relationship is when compared with most
other places. Beach Transportation is a wonderful blessing
to the community of Missoula and specifically to the Missoula
Bands.
We're proud of our students, proud
of our accomplishments and proud to be associated with you.
I think we'll take a look at doing this in three years if
you 'II have a bunch of guys that are ready to roll.
Thanks for taking such great care
of us! You're ALL SUPER!
Most Sincerely,
John H. Combs and Andrew Ueckert
